    In 2023, Japan's first environmentally friendly LNG ferry started service between Osaka and Beppu.

Aso (Kumamoto Prefecture) approximately 90,000 years ago.
    The Usuki Stone Buddhas have earned great international appreciation as a cultural heritage in light of the number of figures, their beauty, and remarkable carving techniques used despite the solid rock face.

Kagoshima Prefecture

  • TaneYakuKousokusen Kabushikigaisya

    We operate between Kagoshima, Ibusuki, Tanegashima and Yakushima.
    The "Toppy" and "Rocket" of the Tanegashima Yakushima High Speed Boats are jetfoils, which are developed by Boeing.
    They hull rises to the surface and moves forward.
    Their structure can operate at high speeds to reduce the effect of waves and water resistance.

    When in operation, it looks like it is floating on the surface of the sea, and looks like an aircraft.

    The name "Toppy" comes from a flying fish that represents a high speed flying over the sea.
    The name "Rocket" comes from there is a rocket launch site on Tanegashima.
    Both adopted names related to Tanegashima and Yakushima.

    They operate at speeds of up to 80 km/h and travel so fast that journey times have been significantly reduced.

    Kagoshima - Tanegashima: 1 hour and 35 minutes.
    Kagoshima - Yakushima: minimum 1 hour 50 minutes.
    Tanegashima - Yakushima: 50 minutes.

    Their structure is two stories.
